Drive You Home

by Garbage.

My vacation in Barcelona ended with some surreal unpleasant accords, but as a whole it was very interesting and enjoyable. Pictures coming soon.

A major part of my time there I spent on rented bicycles. I'd drive around the city and get lost. On my last day, during a coffee stop somewhere, I heard this song.

It's funny how
Even now
You still support me after all of the things that I've done
You're so good to me
Waiting patiently
And isn't it sad that you still have to ask if I care?

I never said I was perfect
But I can take you away

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say a word
Cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I never said I was perfect
But I can drive you home

I got down on myself
Working too hard
Driving myself to death
Trying to beat out the faults in my head
What a mess I've made
Sure we all make mistakes
But they see me so large that they think I'm immune to the pain

I'm praying for a miracle
But I won't hold my breath

I never said I was perfect
But can you take me home?

We're From Barcelona

by I'm From Barcelona.

Although this huge band (30 members) is actually from Sweden.

The second video is Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballé singing the song "Barcelona" in the 1989 ceremony that celebrated Barcelona's win for hosting the Olympic games in 92. This is Freddie's last performance (notice the lack of his famous mustache). The song became the Olympic unofficial anthem and I still remember how it played nonstop on TV during that time here in Israel.

5 more days and I'm there!

Street Wars

This is just so cool that I am almost speechless.

A real water-guns war going on in the city. You get a target and go play an assassin. If you manage to 'kill' your target (wet them) you get their targets.

God it is so cool.

Get all the details in www.streetwars.net, and who is with me for arranging it in Tel Aviv?

Weak + Her Lies

by Asaf Avidan & the Mojos.

I think Asaf Avidan is a very unusual name for this kind of singer. I think if he was called Joni Mitchell it would have made much more sense :)

"Weak" is definitely this band's biggest hit so far, but I must say I like "Her Lies" a bit better. And this live performance of the song (at the warm up show for Morrissey in Tel Aviv) is cool by itself.

For more songs check out the bands myspace page and its facebook page. I bet you'll like it.

Five Years Time

by Noah And The Whale.

Oh well in five years time we could be walking round a zoo
With the sun shining down over me and you
And there'll be love in the bodies of the elephants too
And I'll put my hands over your eyes, but you'll peep through

And there'll be sun sun sun
All over our bodies
And sun sun sun
All down our necks (?)
And sun sun sun
All over our faces
And sun sun sun

So what the heck

Cos I'll be laughing at all your silly little jokes
And we'll be laughing about how we used to smoke
All those stupid little cigarettes
And drink stupid wine
Cos it's what we needed to have a good time

And it was fun fun fun
When we were drinking
It was fun fun fun
When we were drunk
And it was fun fun fun
When we were laughing
It was fun fun fun
Oh it was fun

Oh well I look at you and say
It's the happiest that I've ever been
And I'll say I no longer feel I have to be James Dean
And she'll say
Yah well I feel all pretty happy too
And I'm always pretty happy when I'm just kicking back with you

And it'll be
Love love love
All through our bodies
And love love love
All through our minds
And it be Love love love
All over her face
And Love love love
All over mine

Although maybe all these moments are just in my head
I'll be thinking ‘bout them as I'm lying in bed
And all that I believe (?) might never really come true
But in my mind I'm havin' a pretty good time with you

Oh

Five years time
I might not know you
Five years time
We might not speak
Oh
In five years time
We might not get along
In five years time
You might just prove me wrong

Oh there'll be love love love
Wherever you go
There'll be love love love
Wherever you go
There'll be love love love
Wherever you go
There'll be love love love
Wherever you go
There'll be love love love
Wherever you go
There'll be love love love
Wherever you go
There'll be love love love

Wherever you go there'll be love

In the Groove Again

by Out Of My Hair.

Shana Tova!

If your dreams come true
And the ties are broken
I can hardly say
But the more you gain by being certain
The more it drifts away
Just get back

In the groove again
Watching shadows fall with
Messages from friends
I know the truth rings out
You're in the groove again
And time is falling down
This hopeful lover's pen
He knows the ink runs out

And the burning light should
Not be questioned
When you really have no say
'Cos the more you move in the
Wrong direction
The greater is the pain
Just get back

In the groove again
Watching shadows fall with
Messages from friends
I know the truth rings out
You're in the groove again
And time is falling down
This hopeful lover's pen
He knows the ink runs out

Words that told me
In arms that hold me
They always help the wounds to soothe
But the thought of simply opening
Fills me with foreboding
'Cos there's always things
I fear I'd lose

But if your song dies down on a
Ripped up curtain
You really have no say
But if by chance you get to hurting
You'll take away the pain
If you get back

In the groove again
Watching shadows fall with
Messages from friends
I know the truth rings out
You're in the groove again
And time is falling down
This hopeful lover's pen
He knows the ink runs out

High top chairs
They never stop me
From falling down on my back
Routes often evaded
Memory has invaded
And lowers my chin into my mac

But if your dreams come true
When the ties are broken
I can hardly say
But if by chance you get to hurting
You'll take away the pain
If you get back

In the groove again
Watching shadows fall with
Messages from friends
I know the truth rings out
You're in the groove again
And time is falling down
This hopeful lover's pen
He knows the ink runs out

If your dreams come true
When the ties are broken
I can hardly say
But the more you gain by being certain
The more it drifts away
