Guaranteed

by Eddie Vedder.

The song is from the awesome soundtrack of the even more awesome movie Into The Wild.

This version includes the album's hidden track "Guaranteed (Humming Vocal)".

I can (and did) listen to this song over and over again.

On bended knee is no way to be free
Lifting up an empty cup, I ask silently
All my destinations will accept the one that's me
So I can breathe...

Circles they grow and they swallow people whole
Half their lives they say goodnight to wives they'll never know
A mind full of questions, and a teacher in my soul
And so it goes...

Don't come closer or I'll have to go
Holding me like gravity are places that pull
If ever there was someone to keep me at home
It would be you...

Everyone I come across, in cages they bought
They think of me and my wandering, but I'm never what they thought
I've got my indignation, but I'm pure in all my thoughts
I'm alive...

Wind in my hair, I feel part of everywhere
Underneath my being is a road that disappeared
Late at night I hear the trees, they're singing with the dead
Overhead...

Leave it to me as I find a way to be
Consider me a satellite, forever orbiting
I knew all the rules, but the rules did not know me
Guaranteed

Negia Achat Raka (One Soft Touch)

by Gidi Gov.

Click to play

When I sat in front of you without talking
Because everything been said
You could feel that it's very hard for me
And you could feel that it's bitter

You stood up and passed,
Went to the kitchen and returned a minute later
And on your way you didn't put your hand on my shoulder
For one soft touch.

You're so honest and so decent
And you can not cheat
When you don't love you just can't,
And it can not be changed.

But when you passed right next to me
And I was all a scream
And on your way you didn't put your hand on my shoulder
For one soft touch.

And this I don't forget,
And for this I won't forgive,
And for this I won't forgive you forever.
Because this I don't forget,
And for this I won't forgive, never.

When I was with you you were not with me,
There was only a moving image.
You allowed with your grace to love you,
And prevented any other grace.
I did not want no grace from you,
But at the minute I needed your hand on my shoulder,
For one soft touch.

And this I don't forget,

Now I am sitting here alone,
With that cold moment.
I know how your heart is poor,
And how your beauty is barren.
But that love, in spite of my will,
Still mourning your name.

Still calling your hand for my shoulder,
For one soft touch.

And this I can not forget...

Wicked Game

by Chris Isaak.

From Wikipedia:

The song is a ballad wherein the speaker laments over the rejection of his one true love ("no one could save me but you"), who does not feel the same way about him as he does her ("What a wicked thing to say, you never felt this way"). In the chorus, the narrator pines for not wanting to fall in love because of the pain of heartbreak. However, he expresses his reluctance at not wanting to "fall in love" with her, evident in the virtually silent "don't" in the chorus line ("No I [don't] want to fall in love"). This also indicates that, despite his awareness of the pain of lost love, the speaker is so blinded by love that he cannot help but yearn for her and is torn between his desire for her and avoiding the pain of loss and heartbreak.

The world was on fire
No one could save me but you.
Strange what desire will make foolish people do
I never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like you
And I never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you

No, I don't want to fall in love
[This love is only gonna break your heart]
No, I don't want to fall in love
[This love is only gonna break your heart]
With you
With you

What a wicked game you play
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To let me dream of you
What a wicked thing to say
You never felt this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you
And I don't wanna fall in love
[This love is only gonna break your heart]
And I don't want to fall in love
[This love is only gonna break your heart]

Nobody loves no one

An awesome commercial for Orange Rock Corps Israel.

The idea: Rihanna is coming to perform in Israel, and the price of a ticket is 4 hours contribution for the community.

The second video is Rihanna explaining how it works.

They Say It's Spring

by Blossom Dearie.

I got really excited talking with you today. Look what I found on youtube.

Miss you.

When I was young I lived in a world of dreams
Of moods and myths and illusionary schemes
Though now I'm much more grown up
I fear that I must own up
To the fact that I'm in doubt of
What the modern cynics shout of

They say it's spring
This feeling light as a feather
They say this thing
This magic we share together
Came with the weather too

They say it's May
That's made me daft as a daisy
It's May, they say
That gave the whole world this crazy
Heavenly, hazy hue

I'm a lark
On the wing
I'm the spark of a firefly's fling

Yet to me
This must be
Something more than a seasonal thing

They say it's spring
Those bells that I can hear ringing
It may be spring
But when the robins stop singing
You're what I'm clinging to
Though they say it's spring
It's you

If poets sing
That when a heart sympathetic
It's merely spring
Then poets plights are pathetic
Though I'm poetic too

They say it's spring
For lovers, there's where the lure is
That evil thing
For which September the cure is
This, they are sure is true

Though I know
That it's so
That my fancy may turn in the spring

With the right
One in sight
One can find a perpetual thing

Did I need spring
To bring the ring that you bought me
Though it was spring
That wondrous day that you caught me

Darling I thought we knew
That it wasn't spring
'Twas you

Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down

by Alicia Keys and Stephen Colbert.

Here is Stephen' own addition to the original song:

I love New York, King of all the Cities
Lived up by the Guggenheim, ’til I got some kiddies
Moved to Connecticut, ‘bye George Pataki
Volvo to the dry-cleaners, pickin’ up my khakis

Shoppin’ mall is close, my community is gated
My shorties are all private school educated
Home theater system, 60-inch plasma
Clean suburban air, much better for my asthma

Still hit the city, Times Square, keep it real
Hard Rock Cafe for the appetizer deal
M&M Store, Disney Store, I’m in heaven
I own this town from 41st to 47th

Take you to The Lion King, that show is fantastic
Leave half an hour early so I can beat the traffic
I can get home really fast, driver rocks an E-Z Pass
Land of cheaper gas and the upper middle class

How deep is your love

by Red Hot Chili Peppers and by The Bird And The Bee.

2 Great cover versions. Sorry about "The Bird And The Bee" horrible video...

A Little Less Conversation

by Elvis Presley vs. JXL.

The song originally recorded for the movie "Live a Little, Love a Little", and was remixed for the NIKE Football World Cup advertising campaign. Later it was used in the (remake of the) movie "Ocean's Eleven".

A little less conversation, a little more action please
All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me
Satisfy me baby

Baby close your eyes and listen to the music
Drifting through a summer breeze
It's a groovy night and I can show you how to use it
Come along with me and put your mind at ease

A little less conversation, a little more action please
All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me
Satisfy me baby

Come on baby I'm tired of talking
Grab your coat and let's start walking
Come on, come on
Come on, come on
Come on, come on
Don't procrastinate, don't articulate
Girl it's getting late, gettin' upset waitin' around

A little less conversation, a little more action please
All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me
Satisfy me baby

Google suggestions as a social experiment

Because Google suggestions are based on statistics, I find myself doing these kinds of experiments all the time.

I wanted to write about it for such a long time, and add few screenshots that shows interesting results, but people started noticing it already and wrote about it before me.

So I am happily left with mentioning it and encouraging you to try those funny suggestions yourself...
